Extra Curricular

It is our intention to provide opportunities for all Sixth Form students to make a contribution to life inside the school or in the wider community during some of their non-contact time.
Possible Community Service could involve:
- Education Support – assisting pupils with learning difficulties
- Assisting in local primary school classes
- Assisting at local handicapped and special schools
- Assisting at local hospitals or with charitable organisations
- Community Sports Leaders Award
- Acting as Peer Mentors
- Acting as members of the Sixth Form Cabinet
- Taking part in General Studies at AS and A2
- Taking part in the Young Enterprise Scheme
Progress and achievement in Community Service will be recorded in individual students’ Records of Achievement, and will be used towards references for employment, Further and Higher Education.
You can read more about the Extra-Curricular qualifications, for example CSLA, General Studies & Young Enterprise in our Sixth Form Prospectus.
